Meeting friends to paint on location at Benbrook Lake is a highlight of the week for me. It is a delight to see the changing landscape. The greens were bright in the morning light and the flowers glowed. This is the second painting I started that morning. You may wonder how I can do this so quickly. It is because I come prepared. I pre-mix my colors before I leave the studio. I also prep my canvas with a warm tone. The third element I love, is to have a colorful landscape to create from.
