When the right artist meets the perfect gallery, sales will be made, but the match must work for both. If it doesn’t, the gallery has wall space tied up with pieces that aren’t moving and the artist has work that they could have placed in another venue with better results. We’ve been in business since 1965 and have found the following process works best for both us and the artists.
Enter our annual Fresh Off The Easel juried show if you’d like to be considered for inclusion in the gallery. Full disclosure…like any other juried show there is no guarantee you will be accepted, but roughly 90% of artists entering the 3 maximum works will have at least one piece accepted into the show. During the run of the show, we will note how our clientele responds to your art. If at the end of the show you have unsold pieces, but we have noticed your work getting attention, we will ask to keep it after the close of the show (making you a Guest Artist) in the hope of selling the piece(s) for you.
We are not only a gallery, but a busy frame shop. We have constant requests by artists seeking gallery representation. Due to our workload, we cannot stop and respond to these unsolicited requests. Please DO NOT call, text, email, message or drop by with your artwork.
When entering our Fresh Off The Easel juried show, these are the types of 2-dimensional artwork we are accepting: original fine art that uses oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, charcoal, cold wax, encaustic, gouache, mixed-media and the like. Any style from realistic to abstract.
We DO NOT accept: photography, crafts, giclées/prints, printed graphic collages, canvas prints from an inkjet and/or commercial printer with surface paint on top of photography/prints.
