I was painting in one of my favorite parks when I took a break to walk and study the landscape. This scene stopped me in my tracks, and I quickly gathered reference material to bring it back to my studio. Even now, I can close my eyes and feels the warmth of the day and see the delicate interplay of warm light and cool shadows gently brushing across the trees.
