Earlier in the summer I attended my first ever Hummingbird Festival in South Texas. I joined a group of friends on a self-guided tour of residents’ homes who cater to the colorful, tiny hummers. The last place we visited offered up 47 feeders! There were no less than 100 of these delightful, yet feisty, little flitting birds. So began my series of hummingbird paintings – they’ve migrated south now….I miss them!
