Nainar, Ashik

Ashik Nainar was born in 1983 in southern part of India. He developed a love for art from a young age and enjoyed sketching. Although he graduated as an Engineer, his passion has always been Art.

In 2017, Ashik was introduced to a local portrait group in Dallas that painted from life which helped rekindle his art journey. Mostly self-taught, he has gained a lot of knowledge from artists like David Leffel and Richard Schmid and strives to improve everyday through practice. He loves painting portraits of people and animals. His painting of Martin Luther King Jr. was donated to the Dallas Civil Rights Museum in 2018.

Ashik lives in Fort Worth with his wife and 2 kids.
