This piece began as a watercolor painting. I created the collage accents from hand-printed papers that evoke alpine textures such as rocks, soil, wood and ice The various paper effects resulted from my experimentation with techniques on a gel plate, using ultramarine blue, burnt sienna, black and white acrylic paints.
