Science says reality is simply how we interpret the world based on our experiences. If each of us could step into the body of someone else, we’d be surprised by how different colors appear or how music sounds. Even the perception of time can change in emotionally charged circumstances. For this challenge, examples of realistically depicted scenes were welcome, but we also invited artists to define their own reality with their piece and their artist statement.
Please join us for a special reception on November 9th from 11am-6pm. Awards presentation at 2pm and People’s Choice winner announced at 4:30pm.
