This piece is unique in appearance as the various layers of oils encased in resin creates a three dimensional appearance. Translucent unmixed strokes of colors are layered on top of one another between resin that visually merges to form a deep richer note than if the two pigments where to be premixed and applied. I encourage you to come see this piece in person to truly understand what I am saying. You could almost feel the Koi moving as the water ripples through them and the bubbles emerge to the surface.
