Otto, James

Born in northern Ohio, Jim at an early age felt a deep inner connection with the arts. At the age of 10 years old he was copying drawings from magazines and was recognized in school as someone with ability.
He was also drawn to music. Studies in classical guitar and jazz led to a career in performance travel on the East coast.
Through this, he continued to practice drawing and painting, developing an interest in portraiture.
Jim is always looking for painting inspiration in the events and situations of every day life. His desire is to translate the ordinary into a work of beauty.
