Con Alma y Corazón by Katherine Martinez
30×40 inch | Oil on Linen Canvas | PRICE: $4,000
Marinera Norteña is a traditional Peruvian dance which originated along the northern coast of Peru. The dance originated in the city of Trujillo, where my mother was born, and has roots in Spanish, African, and Andean cultures. Marinera Norteña is an elegant and flirtatious dance in which the male and female partners dance around each other in a beautiful, coquettish courtship. The dancers traditionally wear white and carry handkerchiefs, with the woman, who performs barefoot, wearing a long, pleated dress and the man in a wide-brimmed sombrero. The dance is performed throughout Peru and was officially recognized as a part of Peru’s national cultural heritage in 1986.
Reflective surfaces in metal is one of my focuses when I choose what image to paint. Vintage cars are the perfect subject. I completed this image just a few days ago…so it is Fresh Off the Easel. I took this image at a local car show in Weatherford and was intrigued by the reflection of the white car, the man standing next to it and me taking the picture in the blue Eldorado. Getting the white car to show but still be pushed back as a reflection was the challenge of this painting.

Golden Grasses by Cara Robbins-Karan
24×36 inch | Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas | PRICE: $1,000
From the artist:
Over the last year I have been inspired to create landscape paintings of Golden Hour. This is one of my first pieces painted in that series. It’s also one of my first paintings incorporating horses into my landscapes. Since then, horses have become a consistent element in my landscape art. I see these two as friends on an evening stroll.
PEOPLE’S CHOICE WINNER
Day Dreamer by Brenda Robson
12×16 inch | Egg Tempera on ACM Panel
| PRICE: $900
From the artist:
Day Dreamer delicately captures the essence of a serene moment as a young girl immerses herself in a realm of tranquility. Countless strokes and layers of egg tempera preserve fleeting moments of innocence and simplicity, often obscured amidst the chaos of everyday life. Overlapping translucent and opaque egg tempera colors offer a portal into a world of quiet grace, where subtle nuances intertwine to weave a mesmerizing tapestry of her shimmering beauty.
A big thank you goes out to our three judge for their time and consideration in judging our show.
