In 1989 Chris graduated with a degree in Art Education. While teaching middle school students to experiment in a variety of styles, mediums, and techniques, Ms. Brandley grew to love the painting medium more and more. She also found that being around other artists, no matter the age, was incredibly inspiring.
Chris began painting murals and faux finishes on her walls at home, which eventually led to painting walls for clients. In 2002 she was professionally trained as a decorative painter, resigned from teaching, and began her company, “Creative Wall Designs”. During this time, Chris also developed her painting skills on canvas and fell in love with oils, where she has come full circle and now lives her dream as a full time professional oil painter.
Ms. Brandley’s paintings embrace a range of subjects, with her focus being on the experiences of living all over the world. Her desire is to capture a little of the beauty that God has already created, and that the images would point to the Creator.
Chris has been commissioned by designers in both commercial and high end residential homes for oil paintings, murals, and decorative finishes, and has been represented by art galleries throughout Texas. She is an award winning artist, and has participated in several art shows and exhibitions.
Her work has been used in television backdrops and documentaries, and has also been licensed to international tile companies.
Chris Brandley currently resides in Keller, Texas, with her husband Tyler and their daughter, Maddison.
