Vanishing Places by Kyle Wood

Original Oil on Canvas
4×6 Unframed

This piece is not from a real place, but represents the type of architecture, “The Barn” that has nearly vanished from our society. Occasionally, I will see a barn like this one still standing and its wood. Most barns today are metal, but it is old wooden ones that have more character and personality. I decided to paint this scene in a sepia/monochromatic color scheme to emphasis the nostalgia.
