Last Cutting by Steve Miller

Original Oil on Panel
9X12 unframed

This plein air oil on panel was painted on location in Ellis County, Texas a few days before New Year’s Day. In a good year when rain is abundant, hay is cut and baled more than once. This painting, rich in subtle winter colors, shows “the last cutting”, still sitting in the field where it was cut and baled in the late summer.
