Inspired by our early spring here in Texas, I painted this golden finch flitting among the thistle. A flock of these beautiful songbirds visited our farm recently. A blur of flapping black and gold, they filled the air with their energy and sweet song. I did my best to capture their essence with spontaneous bold strokes and vibrant colors.
