Descent to Dusk by Rebecca Zook

Original Acrylic on Panel
18×18 Unframed

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the rocky, somewhat barren, landscape of west Texas is not everyone’s beauty ideal. This landscape fascinates me endlessly. The changing colors of the rock are only part of it. The tough-as-nails, spiky plants, the lizards and snakes, the roadrunners and the burrowing owls that somehow manage to survive in this place of extremes are all worthy of appreciation. As the sun sets and colors intensify, its beauty grows.
