Many associate hummingbirds as buzzing wings darting between flowers. However, just like us, they also take breaks in their busy day. This male Anna’s hummingbird was in the middle of a very satisfying stretch before heading off to another patch of blooming flora. Aventurine is a variety of quartz with a green hue with trace minerals trapped within it. The inclusion of the additional minerals causes the stone to reflect light in a pattern reminiscent of glitter.
